Well... they say that time goes fast when you're having fun... so I must have had a fun life! Where the heck did those past 50 years go, anyway??

Some highlights of that time include: a trip to Europe for a year after graduation from Oakwood Friends School. a year spent in Manhattan, NY, being kidnapped to California with a girlfriend by a newly married buddy from Oakwood and a friend of his, meeting and marrying Charles Marshall, another year's trip to Europe camping with an 11 month, Geoff, in a VW camper bus, the birth of a second son, Chris, a year traveling across the USA, 12 years in California, a move to Maine where I had spent all my summers, a trip to Russia singing with a local opera company, a trip to England and Holland with my sister, singing for 32 years in our local amateur chorus, an incredible trip to Japan, the births of my two grand children (two most amazing people) Ennis 7 and Ella 4, and retirement from painting houses. But the list grows as Geoff and his wife, Cathy, have now moved practically next door (over the meadow and through the woods) with the children and Chris turned 40 and married last September. I met Kimball Petty 25 years ago and we have been partners ever since! The trips we have made across the country are too numerous to count! I am in a writers group going on 4 years and we are about to publish Volume II of The Eggemoggin Reach Review. I am politically active, currently working toward impeaching George Bush and Dick Cheney. Our impeachment resolution is on the ballot in Deer Isle, where I live in a beautiful house which Kim and I built in 1993.
I wish I could make it to the 50th reunion and renew old acquaintances. Deb M.

PS  Incidentally, our impeachment resolution did not pass in Deer Isle. It was almost 50-50 which is amazing. It lost by 23 votes! I don't know how you feel about impeaching Bush and Cheney. But I think those two need to be accountable for their activities, which simply means those activities need to be investigated....

1982 recap.  Deborah is separated from her husband Charles.  They have two children, Geoffrey and Christopher.  She works as a house painter and Charles is a carpenter.  Her current beau, J Kimball Petty, runs Petty's Pizza.  She graduated from Oakwood School in Poughkeepsie, spent a year in Europe, attended the U of Florence, got married, raised kids in California, spent '64-'65 abroad,  moved to Maine in '72, and split from marriage in '75.   She and Charles live near to each other and are still friends.  She lives with Petty part time and eats the best pizza in Maine.  Her special interests include local choirs, throwing parties, playing volleyball,  reading, x-country skiing, visiting California every 2-3 years, gardening and chickens.
